Pictures: Dragonflies


Made for the National Science Festival's Science in the City exhibit in the Canberra Centre in 2001

One of the dragonflies drying in the garden. The body is made from carved polystyrene, and painted with latex. There were 20 dragonflies for this exhibit, some 1 metre long, others 1.5 metres long. They all had different faces.

The dragonflies were suspended in the atrium of the Canberra Centre, as part of the Science in the City exhibit for the annual Australian Science Festival.
